3 Great Online Workout Sites

Memberships to your local gym can get a little pricey, especially if you don't actually go to the gym. Luckily, you can cut that membership, save some cash money, and still stay in shape. All from the comfort of your own home and thanks to online workouts.

Now usually when I bring up working out at home my friends scoff at me. They wonder how they can actually get a proper workout in, push themselves as hard as they need to, and actually stick to a regular routine in order to reach the goals they have set for themselves.

They just don't know how to make online workouts work for them. Fortunately, cyberland does!

When I first decided to cancel my gym membership, I started dropping the ball. I would slack and not really give it 110% when I was working out. I started losing momentum and I knew I had to change things up.

Luckily, I found three tools online that helped to get me back on track while costing me nothing. Bonus!

If you are thinking of taking the plunge and leaving your gym, keep reading as these three online tools are the key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The Nike Training Club App

Okay so it's not really one of the 'online workouts' but you do need a wireless connection to download the app onto your phone so I'm including it in the mix. And besides that, it's effective and awesome. Two things we love.

This app is not only free but it also lets you choose from a wide variety of workouts that are targeted to your certain fitness level.

To get started you simply choose your workout from 4 different choices: lean, toned, strong, and focused. Once you have chosen the type of workout you want to do, you choose your level: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

Once you have selected the level and type of workout you want you are presented with about 10 individual workout routines for each level. Each workout varies from 30-45 minutes and each one is different.

What I love even more about the Nike Training Club app is that it uses the music from your phone, counts down each set, has videos demonstrating each exercise in case you aren't sure about how to properly execute them, and is one of the greatest online workouts for women.

On top of that it keeps track of how much you have worked out and each time you hit a new level, it unlocks a bonus workout used by a professional athlete. And all for free!

That trainer is getting a bit harder to justify now, isn't it?

More specifically, BodyRock.tv is a fitness website that is full of butt-kicking workout videos, healthy recipes, blogposts, pictures, and inspiration from other Body Rockers who have had huge success with the different workouts the trainers provide. And what's best is each workout is usually only around 15 minutes long and you know what that means, don't you?

No longer can you use the 'I don't have time' excuse to not workout.

And in case the workouts aren't enough inspiration for you, the trainers will be. They motivate you with not only their words and encouragement but their fit bodies that will have you striving to reach your goals in no time.

Yep, Pinterest. Doesn't really sound like a workout website, does it? Well that, my friends, is because it's not.

Pinterest is a website where 'pinners' pin pictures of things they find around the web, think online vision board. This ranges from anything such as health and beauty to cars and at-home DIY tricks to weddings and travel. It's a little bit of everything but what makes Pinterest so great is that each picture that is pinned usually leads back to the website in which it was pinned from.

That means, if you are searching for healthy recipes or workouts or even just motivational phrases to keep you going, just click on the photos you like and you will be taken directly to that website.

I have personally used Pinterest for hundreds of different healthy recipes, as well as variations on my favourite workout routines or even individual exercises.

There are so many options on Pinterest, you will find it impossible to get bored with working out!

Regardless of what workout websites or smartphone app you use, make sure you commit yourself to living a healthy, active lifestyle and your gym membership fees will quickly transform into big time cash flow savings. And if that isn't all the motivation you need, the physical transformation will be!
