They offer a paid membership, which serves as a license agreement to download and use the images they provide. With your license you are allowed to download various media content to use on your website, in print or forms of media. This is very useful for web designers and ad managers looking for creative content.

Is Animation Factory Worth It? - Key Features and Benefits

Here is why I think Animation Factory is worth it:

One thing that sets this company apart from the rest is the huge selection of digital media and animated clipart. They boast of having the largest collection of 3D animated gifs on the internet.
With their powerpoint templates you can create your own presentations easily, without any previous powerpoint experience.
Animation Factory products help you create multi-media projects with music, background videos, flash animations and sound effects with professional results, without professional costs.
There are three types of memberships. The gold and platinum memberships have limited access to downloads and media types, but if you are a web professional and need a lot of media, you can choose the pro plan for less than $200 a year.
They offer a 3D text maker. This online tool allows you to create your text and other gifs for free.

My favorite feature is the affiliate program. Just one sale and nearly half of your membership is paid for. With just two or three sales a year, you can have all of the media you need for free.

Animation Factory Cons – Disadvantages

What I didn't like about this merchant is that you cannot buy just what you need. You have to buy a full membership before you can access any of the media. If you just have a small site and only need a few animations, you still have to buy a full year's membership. It would be nice to see a sale page where you can buy one-off gifs or other media.

How Does Animation Factory Compare to Similar Merchants?

I looked at two different animation companies which are in direct competition with Animation Factory.

The first company I looked at was Animation Library. The biggest difference between this site and Animation Factory is that this site is free to use and you can download anything they have at no charge. Registration is free, as well. Registering allows you to save you favorites and keep track of what you have downloaded. Compared to Animation Factory, the selection and media choices is very limited. In order to offer these products for free, the site generates income from Google Adsense. There are so many ads on the site, it is hard to decipher the ads from the products or instructions.

The second company I researched was Presenter Media. The choices here are quite limited compared to Animation Factory, therefore the cost of a membership is about half. They offer powerpoint presentation templates, animations and clipart. A one-year paid membership gives you unlimited downloads of everything the site has to offer. Even though the price is about half of what Animation Factory charges, if you are a serious web designer you will not find enough creative media to be of much help. Overall, if you like a lot of animation and media choices, Animation Factory is the better site.

What is the Cost?

There are three membership options:

The gold membership, which gives you access to 500,000 animated clipart, media elements and tiled backgrounds = $59.95 for one year
The platinum membership, gives you the same features as the gold membership plus, powerclips, powerpoint backgrounds, powerpoint templates and video backgrounds = $99.95 for one year
The pro membership, includes everything in the first two plans plus, flash, sound effects and music and video elements = $199.95

Membership gives you a license to download what you need from the company within your plan, so there is no shipping cost, refund policy or returns accepted.

Once you pay for your plan, it is yours for one year. There are no cancellations or refunds offered. You are not on automatic renewal. If you want another year, you have to sign up for another year. The site does not offer any discounts or supply you with any coupons.
