The Atkins diet was once the great fad diet of choice. The diet of yore swept the nation with due diligence and lasted for years. Atkins has since faded slightly, but still remains a respectable diet to try. Like anything else though, Atkins has it’s pitfalls. This is not a diet for a person with a sweet tooth. Maybe the Atkins Advantage Caramel Bars can help make it better.
How Do The Atkins Advantage Caramel Bars Work?
The Atkins Advantage Caramel Bars are a specifically designed energy snack bar for the Atkins diet. This little treat is meant to satisfy hunger while being delectable. The snack bar contains 10 grams of fiber and 12 grams of protein. This much fiber easily turns this little bar into a full meal replacement that will adhere to the Atkins diet while satisfying me.
What Are Others Saying?
Many users love the taste of the Atkins Advantage Bar. John Emerson said "this makes a nice low carb snack that satisfies his cravings for sweets". This is the opinion of most people. Vanessa Pelham had the same feelings. She also stated that "this is the best Atkins bar she has tried so far".
The taste is satisfying without tasting like card board. The high protein helps to fuel the body while the high fiber makes this small treat a filling meal. This snack only has 1 gram of sugar but everyone that has tried it says it has a great taste.
How Much Weight Will I Lose?
The Atkins Advantage bar is a supplement to the Atkins diet. The bar itself will help to control weight and hunger because of the high fiber content, assisting in a slow and steady weight loss. Followed and used with the Atkins diet, much greater results can be seen quicker.
Atkins Advantage Bars contain a great deal of fiber that can be very beneficial to the human body. But to much of any thing can be very bad. If I were to eat a lot of these bars everyday, I would want to follow with lots of water. No hydration with a lot of fiber can have the opposite of the desired effect and cause constipation.
- High Fiber, high protein snack
- Filling and healthy
- Adheres to Atkins diet
- Higher fat content
Problems And Complaints
During my research I found that the number one problem was that the Atkins Advantage bars melt easily during shipping. Jane, amongst many other consumers, can vouch for this. This may not be a fault of the product itself as much as the vendor or carrier. But none the less, a melted product is a damaged product.
Richard complained of the product having no caramel taste. These bars taste more like an Oreo cookie then anything else so it’s not all bad. But the product is advertised as a caramel bar. I would think there should be more of a caramel taste.
And my last complaint is the cost. They are expensive. Atkins Advantage bars can act as a full meal replacement, but at much the same cost.
What About The Fat?
Atkins Advantage bars contain a higher fat content. This bar really is meant for the Atkins diet. Atkins commands a strict adherence to ingesting almost no carbohydrates in my daily diet. Instead of burning carbs as fuel for the body, the Atkins diet forces the body to burn fat.
Twice as much fat is required to make the same amount of energy as carbohydrates. This is what makes the Atkins diet effective if followed properly. The higher fat content in the Atkins Advantage Bars are designed to follow this principal.
How Do The Atkins Advantage Caramel Bars Rate Overall?
The Atkins Advantage Caramel Bars compliment the Atkins diet very well. They are designed to be proportionally healthy and are a substantial source of protein and fiber. The cost is very restrictive though.
I can’t recommend the Atkins Advantage Bar unless you are following the Atkins diet and need a lower calorie snack or something to satisfy the sweet tooth. Normal dieters can find a good supplement or piece of exercise equipment for the cost of the Advantage Bar.
