The first company I looked at was Mizuno Shoes. They focus on all sports, not just running, therefore their line up is much larger. The first thing I noticed is that the site loads much slower than Brooks. The prices for the Mizuno shoes are a little higher compared to Brooks shoes. The Brooks website features customer reviews below the description of each shoe, where the Mizuno site offers no real customer reviews at all. Also, the Brooks site offers free shipping for orders over $50, and the for Mizuno shoes you have to buy over $100 worth of products to qualify for free shipping and there is no sale page.

The second shoe company I researched was Puma. The styles and variety of choices as compared to Brooks shoes is much the same. However, the Puma shoes cost about 20% less. Just like Brooks, Puma offers free shipping on all orders over $50. But, there aren't any reviews from real customers. Puma also offers a sale page where prices are nearly half off the original price. You will find many more products at Puma than at Brooks, including many more items for children and gift cards. But, Brooks offers live chat help and Puma doesn't.
