Dellamoda is a renowned designer boutique and a California-based company that has been in business since 1996. It is an online outlet store that offers authentic designer shoes, handbags, sunglasses, and accessories at discounted prices, which should be attractive to any discerning shopper.
Here I found items bearing the coveted logos of celebrated fashion artists such as Dolce, Gucci, Christian Dior, Paciotti, and Prada, as well as many others. I could browse my favorite brand or browse a specific department. There is also an “on sale” tab that lets me view the collection of items that have been discounted even deeper. The website carries both women’s and men’s merchandise, including:

Dellamoda.com also carries a limited selection of jewelry, key chains, and men’s shirts.

he Dellamoda site is easier to navigate than some similar websites. You can shop by brand or by department or you can browse the categories of products that are available in the women’s boutique or the men’s store. This makes it easy to find exactly what you want quickly.

You can narrow your search within a category by price. Since some of the merchandise has a much higher price tag than my wallet could afford (such as $2,800.50 for a Chanel handbag), I was able to view only those items that I could consider purchasing. Of course, if you like to dream, you can always view the entire selection.

Frankly, the most appealing feature to me was the amazing number of renowned designers represented on this website. And even I might be able to afford to shop the “for sale” items offered in these brands.
Dellamoda Cons – Disadvantages

I was surprised to find that multiple views of the products are not provided. You can only view the item in normal or enlarged size. If I’m spending that kind of money, I want to be able to examine my intended purchase from every angle. Fossil.com for example, provide multiple photos of their designer handbags, each one from a different angle.
- The women’s shoe sizes are not provided in U.S. measurements. You need to click on a link to view the conversion. Perhaps listing the European sizes only is trendy, but for some of us, it’s just one more obstacle to purchasing, so I’d like to see the website provide both U.S. and European sizes in the drop-down menu as some of its competitors do.

How Does Dellamoda Compare To Similar Merchants?
I looked at a couple of other websites that are in direct competition with Dellamoda.com. The first was 6pm.com.
Dellamoda vs 6pm.com
Like Dellamoda, 6pm.com is an online outlet store carrying designer brands at discounted prices. 6pm.com offers a larger array of products than does Dellamoda. For example, you can find kids’ apparel and shoes and a broader line of jewelry on 6pm.com. However, it doesn’t have the selection of prominent designers that you can find on Dellamoda.com. I found some Cesare Paciotti items, but nothing with the popular Gucci, Christian Dior, or Chanel labels. 6pm.com offers multiple views of its products, which is one of the things I found lacking on the Dellamoda website. 6pm.com does not ship internationally as Dellamoda does, but it does offer free domestic shipping on all orders. Both merchants have a 30-day return policy and both require that the merchandise be returned unused.
Dellamoda vs Raffaello
The second merchant I investigated was Raffaello Network. Raffaello carries merchandise of over 100 popular designers. Like 6pm.com, it has a larger selection of product categories than does Dellamoda although it doesn’t carry housewares or electronics as 6pm.com does. It does, however, carry products for children and jewelry for both men and women.
Raffaello’s selection also differs from Dellamoda’s within a specific brand. For example, Raffaello has a larger number of men’s Gucci shirts from which to choose, but its selection of women’s Paciotti shoes is much smaller than that found on the Dellamoda website. Its shipping fees and policies are more consumer-friendly than Dellamoda’s.
Raffaello’s shipping is by UPS, and customers pay a flat fee of $14.95 within the U.S. and €14.90 within the original EU countries. Shipments to newer EU members and elsewhere in the world are higher, but those customers, too, pay a flat fee. Expected delivery times are 1 to 2 days. Dellamoda charges $12 for the first item plus $5 for each additional item on domestic shipments and $50 for the first item plus $15.00 for each additional item on international shipments, with expected delivery times ranging from 2 to 5 days.
Raffaello’s prices include all taxes and customs fees. Dellamoda’s prices do not. Customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Raffaello’s return policy is a more liberal 60 days, compared to Dellamoda’s 30 days.
What Is the Cost at Dellamoda?
The cost of the products varies greatly by category and brand. I found sunglasses on the site that ranged in price from $99 to $299; designer handbags were priced anywhere from $99 to over $2,800; and Dellamoda’s limited offering of men’s shirts were priced at either $149 or $189. Other prices I observed were:
