a. I would like to follow a diet plan that gives me the ability to meet regularly with others in an environment of mutual encouragement and support. Meeting in-person, in my local community, with other people who have the same goals would be a powerful motivator to help me stay the course.
I want to get support from, physically interact with, and be accountable to other successful dieters, as I follow the plan that has worked specifically for them and many others.
b. The idea of weekly weigh-ins and group meetings makes me squirm. I would like to receive encouragement while avoiding the public nature of a group-support situation. An online-based program that can thoroughly analyze my personality and craft a diet plan that is perfectly tailored to my specific needs would be great for me. As far as interacting with others, I would rather be part of an online community of dieters and receive individual guidance from dietitians rather than visit local weight loss centers.
