General Motors Diet Plan for quick weight loss

May 18, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

It was tested at the Johns Hopkins Research Centre before being approved. It was supported on a grant from the US Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration. And twenty five years later it was first floated; dieters will vouch that they have been able to lose as much as FIVE to SIX kilograms in just SEVEN days with the General Motors Diet Plan!

Sounds good? It gets even better. GM diet, as its popularly known, lets you eat as much as you want of the prescribed foods every single day. So you never have to go hungry. Diets really cannot get more effective than this! So, read on to find out how you can kick-start your battle with the bulge.

To start with, remember that you must drink 10 glasses of water each day, and alcohol is an absolute no-no. Plus, you must stick to the prescribed foods for each day.

Day One
Today, you can eat as many fresh fruits as you can, with the exception of bananas. If you choose to eat water-based fruits such as melons, then you can lose as much as three pounds on the very first day!

Day Two
Start the second day with a large potato, boiled or baked and toped with a small dollop of butter. Then for the rest of the day, go for the veggies. Raw or cooked, there’s no cap on how much you can eat of your favourite vegetables.

Day Three
On the third day, you can mix your fruits and your vegetables. But leave out bananas and potatoes.

Day Four
By the fourth day, you are no longer craving for the carbs. As a bonus, you are allowed to eat eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. If you are still feeling hungry, have a bowl or two of soup.

Day Five
Today, you will up your water intake by one quart to cleanse your system of the uric acid. Include chicken or fish and tomatoes as salad. Alternately, you can have two 10 oz. portions of lean beef with six tomatoes.

Day Six
Boost your iron and protein intake for the first time since you started the diet plan. You may eat as much chicken or fish with vegetables as you like. Again, if you prefer, replace chicken and fish with lean beef.

Day Seven
The last day of the GM diet… You can finally have your carbs. Your meals today will comprise brown rice, fruit juices and as much vegetables as you can consume.

At the end of the seventh day, you will notice that you look much healthier than on the first day. You are of course much lighter.
