In a YouTube video I just watched, Angelika, a Realize Gastric Band patient, talks about how weight loss surgery has changed the way she eats.
Angelika discusses the differences between eating before and after the surgery. She explains how the surgery has changed her financially to the better.
Angelika also shares some tips on how to have the success that she experienced.
According to Angelika, what the band helps you do is it helps you keep full for a very long time so you don’t feel hungry for the majority of the day and then even a small snack can hold you another couple hours from feeling hungry.
"During my meal I definitely have to spend more time eating it. Have to be more careful with chewing the food slowly and very precisely. When I eat a little bit too much or a little bit too fast, what happens is the actual food either gets stuck or it just wants to come right back up. So you have to be very careful when eating after this band.
With some foods you have to be a little more careful. Things like breads or dry meats might be a little bit hard to chew to the consistency level that you need for the band, for it to come through the band.
What you’re looking for is to chew up your food to where it comes to a consistency of baby food and some items are nearly impossible to chew that well.
Realize Band: An Investment That Helps You Spend Less & Save Money
When I found out about the Realize Band I was very determined to have this surgery, my only concern was the financial aspect of it. At that point I was a single mother with one child and I pretty much went into any source possible to gather up the money for this procedure."
"… I (now) save all the money that I used to spend on other weight loss solutions"
As Angelika explains:
"I feel like the procedure itself paid off numerous times because I save so much on food on a daily basis, and then I save all the money that I used to spend on other weight loss solutions including pills, and diet supplements and shakes and drinks and everything that’s on the market I’ve tried it. The only thing that might have gone up in cost is clothing. I do maybe a little bit more frequently shop for clothing because I appreciate the way I look and the clothes I buy."
The main goal of weight loss surgery is to help patients reduce their weight and to increase their health and lifespan. Another enticing benefit that comes along with surgery is that it helps individuals to save a lot of money in the long run whether it is on unnecessary weight loss products or food itself.
