Caring Staff and Support When You Need It

lap-band or not

I am turning 62 in a 6 weeks. I plumped up in my late 30's and could never loose it.Now I am 60+ lbs overweight and have trouble biking or hiking or dancing. I continue to gain no matter what I do. I am always starving. I have developed asma and athritis in my hips and knees, over the moon coleserol and triglycerides. My cousin who is physically like me, gained even more then me and had a heart attack which promted her to have the by-pass and she lost 125lbs. She had to have skin removal afterwards...I am afraid that I am going to get bigger and will be too old to have any surgical help. I think if I got the lap-band now, it could save my life. I hope it is not too expensive.
I am scared to stay fat. I am scared I will end up with deflated balloon skin if I loose this weight. I am scared I won't be able to afford a lap band.I am afraid I won't qualify for the procedure.
Guess I just need to make the consultation appointment and quit worrying. I will never know if I just keep sitting here worrying.
