Medifast
Medifast refund
(read Kate's real Medifast testimonial...)
A common question is: What if I realize Medifast is not for me? Could I get a refund?
This was a big plus for me when I was researching diet plans like Medifast and the others. I wanted to know for sure that I could get a refund if this big box of diet stuff showed up at my door and I found out that I couldn’t stand the taste of it.
Has that happened to you? You order a new diet product and when you try it out you find out that it tastes awful?
With Medifast, you can receive a refund of the purchase price on any unopened, unused boxes returned within 30 days of purchase.
In my research, I did not find anyone who had any complaints or problems with Medifast’s refund policy. That told me A LOT about Medifast. These days if someone is mad at a company, the first thing they do is go on line and tell the world about their problem.
What Sheri says below, is a common experience to those who have requested a refund.
Medifast versus Weight Watchers
(read Kate's real Medifast story...)
Almost everyone I found in my research said the same thing: Medifast is faster and more convenient than Weight Watchers. That was another persuasive point for me. When I tried Weight Watchers, I jumped through all their hoops and followed all their numerous rules and hardly lost any weight at all.
Scarlett said it this way:
“I tried every diet out there. I joined Weight Watchers right after Christmas, followed it to a tee and only lost 2.6 pounds in three weeks! I stay motivated by Medifast because of the results!”
Medifast versus Nutrisystem
(read Kate's real Medifast review...)
I tried NutriSystem last year. It was working, but I gave it up and switched to Medifast because I lost weight faster;
I was able to reach my desired weight faster therefore pay less; I have more freedom to cook my own food once a day; and, best of all, I can enjoy a “real” dinner when we go out with friends.
Every good restaurant I know of has at least one nice salad that fits the lean and green meal. (If it doesn’t, it doesn’t meet my definition of a good restaurant.)
My online research showed that many people had the same experience – like this one:
Is Medifast A Liquid Diet Like Optifast?
(read Kate's real Medifast story...)
My research found that this was a hot topic. Personally, I have a tough time with the idea that I have to drink all my nourishment. I have to EAT… at least a little something.
People on the forums shared this:
“Medifast is not a liquid program, since you eat one meal a day of real food and it’s actually very filling.” -- Nancy
“Medifast in not Optifast. Medifast is a 5 and 1 plan where you have one “real” meal a day so you don’t feel completely taken away from food and it’s not as hard to transition.” -- Kay
Medifast: Will I Feel Hungry?
(read Kate's real Medifast testimonial...)
I don’t know about you, but real food temptation, especially in the first few days, is a real battle for me. I was amazed to find that after the first 3-7 days the hunger went away. It seemed like my body adjusted to the new way of eating and accepted it. The nutrient balance of Medifast in combination with its 6 low calorie meals each day did the trick. I wasn’t hungry and I had oodles of energy. Medifast says the program is designed to reduce hunger in 48 hours.
Other people said their experiences were about like mine:
“Having the supplements 5 times a day with 1 regular lean and green meal REALLY controls your hunger. It may take 3 or 4 days before the hunger is under control but it is WELL WORTH IT. I recommend it highly!!” -- Trinc
“Once I figured out the "lean and green" mix - which is really not difficult - I find that I'm not hungry, and if I am, I just have an approved snack. I look forward to much more success! I started Medifast 10 days ago and have lost 13 pounds already.” -- Dave V
Medifast: What Are The Challenges I Will Face?
(read Kate's real Medifast review...)
Every diet I ever tried had challenges. Some worse than others. My research found that although most users found the plan easy, they did have two main challenges sticking to the Medifast diet:
1. Accepting the radical changes in their eating habits that the program requires, the reduction in how much food and how many calories they ate, and
2. Staying focused on their goal.
Many said the rapid results they see in their body help them face the challenge of sticking to the diet.
Here’s what my research found:
“My problem has been getting my mind in gear to start and stay on it because I know it is important to follow the diet strictly. It is hard in social situations to skip a yummy meal and eat something out of a little packet. Meals are very social. I hate all of the questions from others.” -- TS
Is It Difficult To Stay On The Medifast Program?
(read Kate's true Medifast review...)
In the past, I found every diet hard to stick with. Was Medifast going to be any different?
Well, this time I had a goal. I was ready for a change.
I don’t want to kid anybody. This is a strict program. Like any diet, it requires commitment. The truth is, it’s a challenge at the beginning.
One of the good things is the plan is designed so that your body can adjust quickly to the low calorie meals. That’s why many people say they can follow this diet easily after being on it for a few days. It gives you the convenience of prepared meals and the safety of a scientifically designed and clinically proven diet. All you need to provide is your determination and clarity of purpose in order to lose weight.
Here’s what my research turned up:
The first 3 days are hard but it is very easy after that. I lost weight painlessly and very quickly. -- SF
Medifast Testimonials
(read Kate's true Medifast testimonial...)
Here are two interesting Medifast testimonials I found on YouTube (I have posted the video below). One is from Marge and the other one is from Darlene.
“One thing I want to say to people out there is that you don’t have to live with the extra weight. You can have a second chance. Medifast gives that second chance to be the thin person that you want to be”. Marge, mother of Bruce, Nick, Adam, Ben and Christen
This strong statement is backed by an equally powerful experience. Marge is a long-time user of Medifast who has experienced great results by using it on three different occasions. Each time, she reached her desired weight successfully. She lost totally more than 80 pounds. Darlene, another user, did Medifast after the recommendation of her husband, who is a physician, and lost 70+ lbs. in six months.
Medifast: Will I Gain The Weight Back?
What Will Happen When I Start Eating Real Food Again?
(read Kate's complete Medifast review)
With all the other diets I have tried, the weight always came back. I mean, no matter how well the Atkins diet took off my weight, I couldn’t go without carbs forever. When I started eating bread and bagels again, the fat came back. I REALLY wanted Medifast to keep their promise to take the weight off and keep it off.
You and I both know that no diet works long term unless we make some kind of permanent adjustment with your diet and exercise. The specifically designed Medifast Transition and Maintenance program helps you keep the weight off permanently.
One cool thing I found when I reached my goal weight was that exercise was a lot easier and a lot more fun. I think that easing back into a “normal” diet with the Transition Plan has been the key to my success.
How Much Does Medifast Cost? Can I Afford It?
(read Kate's true Medifast testimonial...)
Almost as important as “Will I like it?” was “Can I afford it?” After all, if I could afford Santa Monica fat farm prices I'd go there instead of using a program like Medifast.
Here's the math to figure this out:
Four weeks on Medifast usually cost $300. Right now, you can get a FREE week of product and FREE shipping with the purchase of a 4-week supply. That brings the actual cost to $240 for four weeks... $60 a week... less than $10 a day.
I decided to figure out how much an average single person like me spends on food. If you can believe the government guys (Consumer Expenditure Surveys), they say the number is $4,114 for food annually, including meals at home and away from home. This equals $340 for 4 weeks.
