Texas Laparoscopic Consultants are experts in obesity treatment with minimally invasive surgery. They have helped many patients regain health and hope with their Bariatric Centers of Excellence program.
The following are accounts from five individuals who all have undergone weight loss surgery performed by Texas Laparoscopic Consultants. Each person has a different story but they all have the same commonality of success.
Brian’s Experience With Texas Laparoscopic Consultants
“Hi I’m Brian, I had gastric bypass surgery December 28th of 2009. It is now April 28th and I’ve lost about 75 pounds, feel absolutely wonderful. I used to be on diabetes medicines and high blood pressure medicine and I’m off all of that. I don’t take any medicine at all.”
Bridget’s Experience With Texas Laparoscopic Consultants
"Hi I’m Bridget, I had gastric sleeve about a year ago March 16th. I’ve lost 130 pounds and I’m so excited. I’m able to do a lot of the things I wasn’t able to do. I love the outdoors, I don’t sweat as much. I’m not complaining about not being too hot. It’s just a big change and I’m so happy I did it.”
When asked if this is something Bridget would do again she answered,
“Oh yeah sir, and I’m happy with the sleeve, no problems. I just follow the diet and when I want a little something different, I just allow myself to have it but I don’t go overboard. I have to use moderation."
Caitlin’s and Summer’s Testimonial
Mother, Caitlin Johnston, and daughter, Summer Johnston share their experience. Caitlin reported,
"We had the gastric sleeve. It was a great experience and it hurt a little more than I thought it would. Having kids is a lot easier but it’s been a great experience. Doctors are wonderful. I would do it again.”
“I have lost about 22 pounds I guess. And I did like that it was a single incision, the hospital was actually really nice and so were the doctors. I had the gastric sleeve as well.”
When both asked how far out from the surgery they were, Caitlin answered, “about 3 or 4 weeks and I feel great.” Summer agreed by saying, “yes, so do I.” They both said that they would do the surgery again.
“My name’s Barbara and I had the Roux-en-Y Bypass surgery three months ago and my diabetes is totally in remission and my high blood pressure is gone and I feel fantastic and it’s been a great decision for me to have it done.”
When asked if there was anything new that Barbara is doing that she was not able to do before, she said,
“I feel energetic, I exercise more, and even at work everything is so much easier for me to do.”
Regardless of the fact that these individuals received different type of operations, the end results all included success and rewards. Whether it was from lowering or totally getting rid of medication, to enjoying the outdoors, it is easy to see how much happier these individuals are by going through with weight loss surgery.
Important: Although bariatric sugery may be beneficial for selected patients, it poses the risk for serious complications, including death.
