On some other diets, I felt drained. It took all the energy I could muster just to drag through the day. That is another good thing I found about this plan.
On the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan, your body enters a fat-burning state, also known as “mild ketosis” that helps you achieve rapid weight loss while providing sufficient levels of energy. I think that is one reason it works so well.

I am on a healthful journey with Medifast and being a severe hypoglycemic, I don’t feel the shakes or like I will faint having the protein supplements every couple of hours. I used Medifast to lose weight for the army. I lost 40 lbs in about 4 1/2 months. It really works. It doesn’t make you lose muscle since I was able to pass all of my pushup and sit up tests along with a two mile run. I felt really healthy on this diet and had a lot of energy.
